About the Author
My name is Chris Colose. I am currently a fellow of the NASA Postdoctoral Program (NPP) at NASA GISS, as part of the NExSS initiative to better understand planetary atmospheres- http://www.giss.nasa.gov/projects/astrobio/
I earned my B.S. in Atmospheric and Oceanic science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and PhD at the University of Albany (SUNY) in upstate New York. My dissertation topic related to how volcanic eruptions influence tropical rainfall.
I have research interests in a number of problems directly related to Earth’s climate, and other planets, on timescales that range from decades to billions of years. This extends to the problem of modern global warming, where I hope to clarify a number of matters that can get lost in the public discourse.
